Romain de Tirtoff (Erte)

One of the most famous fashion illustrators of the 20th century. In brief, born in Russia, global career, Greek vase-inspired style, perfectionist, 20 year contract with Harper's Bazaar, also designed costumes and sets for theatre and film.
I think it could be interesting to design from a single artist's aesthetic - the umbrella terms of 'Art Deco' and 'Art Nouveau' are just so broad that it could potentially be difficult to pin down a unifying concept. Erte, I think, fits Sabatini White quite well as both classic and universally appealing to a range of age groups. Essentially timeless.
